Davy has his mission call!!!

We were so excited when David got his mission call. He has been called to the "Rapid City, South Dakota Mission." As you can tell from the picture it is a huge mission. It's all of South Dakota, North Dakota, a hunk of Minnesota, Wyoming and Nebraska, plus a tiny piece of Montana and Iowa. He enters the MTC in Provo on the 8th of October so he's going pretty fast. He was really hoping to not go somewhere as warm as his brother Zach. Well I think he got his wish because I don't think heat will be a big problem, especially in the winter.
I think the funnest thing on his list of things to bring to his mission is a sleeping bag. It does state that this is what he will use for his bedding. David is such a warm, down to earth person that I think he is going to exactly the right place. He will be great with the city folk and the country folk. I thought I should post this as long as it was something I had on my computer. We scanned it so that he could send it to Zach, so he would know where he is going.
So now the rush is on to get this one ready to go. I have such a feeling of deja vu washing over me. We get to start over with the temple, farewell, shopping, packing, mission prep classes etc... However I truly feel that all will be well as soon as I finish feeling overwhelmed. I've got a great family, a great ward and great kids that help me with everything. I know we can pull this off again in such a short time. We love David and we will miss him but we are so EXCITED for him and for his mission call. :)

Meet David

David is our oldest son. He just celebrated his 22 birthday in June. He is the third child in the family and a wondeful guy. I'm going to miss him a lot while his is gone. It won't just be his amazing cooking, (you haven't lived until you've had his tilapia fish tacos)he is just so great to be around. For example he worked at Wal-mart for about 4 years. I have not learned that if I'm taking him to the store with me, it's going to take twice as long. He has so many friends there and they all love him. Lots of friends and neighbors would go out of their way to find him, because he was always so helpful. He will be greatly missed by many. I decided that I better get started on things for him now. I'm already way behind on things for his brother. This is a photo that we took so that we could send to Zach in Brazil.
